I’d like to write a blog post that had some purpose. But unfortunately that’s unlikely to be this one. You see, once again I’ve started out without any idea what I actually want to say or achieve by writing an article. That’s the story of my life.
I start most of my new websites/blogs with the excruciatingly boring ‘welcome’ or ‘my first blog’ and other such drivel. I create website after website, sit with my hands poised over the keyboard and…nothing. Writers’ block I guess.
But I have higher standards for this site. I’m going to try harder, be better.
I haven’t quite worked out how I’m going to do that yet, but I guess at least I’ve set the basis for the way forward. Something I’ve not often managed.
With anything in life, knowing (1) where you are, (2) where you want to be, and (3) the best path to get there are the essential pieces of the puzzle to achieving any challenge.
For example, look at this blog post. I set out from the beginning that I wanted to write a better post (2 – Where I want to be), that doing would be unlikely (1 – Where I’m at now), and thus created the path (3) by writing the post about those two things.
Confused? Yes. Me too. But don’t worry about it. I don’t even know who you are or what you’re doing here. But at least there’s a random cow in the photo to cheer you up.
